Moonlight Forest
The creative process of designing the Moonlight Forest masterpiece encompassed a prolific collaboration between expert designers and adept artisans over multiple areas of expertise. From the first designs, presented in the form of gouache drawings, to the development of three-dimensional models and the production of the pieces, a team of experts worked closely so that the creative spirit of the original sketches could be transformed into an exceptional creation.
Crafting the extraordinary
For this one-of-a-kind set, Mouawad designers took nature not as a model to be reproduced, but as an interlocutor with art. They found inspiration in the geometric precision and architectural complexity of natural surroundings to bring out their most evocative elements using precious stones. This inspiration was depicted in lavish Colombian emeralds set among a profusion of round, marquise and pear-shaped diamonds reminiscent of dainty leaves, petals and flower buds.
Each stone was designed with a special emphasis on cutting and polishing in order to enhance its light performance and individual beauty. A special care was also given to the juxtaposition of technical and aesthetic factors to provide long-lasting comfort and flexibility to the wearer. This combination of precision, finesse and refinement created a set of unique character and perfect finishes.
