Mouawad Inaugurates New Boutique in Singapore

Mouawad, the luxury jeweller and purveyor of fine stones and excellent jewellery creations since 1890, has opened its new boutique in Orchard Road.

Backed by more than a century of excellence in its field, Mouawad remains a family business built upon artistic excellence, superb craftsmanship, trust and relationships. Mouawad designs and manufactures its own exclusive jewellery, timepiece collections and objects of art. The vision at Mouawad has always been to enchant and build lifelong relationships with customers by offering a wide range of jewels and timepieces for all occasions.

The brand-new 1100 square feet boutique is located in the revamped Palais Renaissance alongside many other international brands. This unique lifestyle destination will provide customers the opportunity to discover the art of jewellery in the enthralling world of Mouawad – where they can explore anything from boutique collections to Haute Joaillerie, magnificent bespoke masterpieces and the craft of customizing their own unique pieces of jewellery.

Conceptualized by 4th generation co-guardians Fred and Pascal Mouawad, the look and feel of the new generation boutique reflects the enhanced direction and strategy of the brand.

Like droplets cascading down a fountain, the flower motifs of the chandeliers overflow freely adding to the ambience of the boutique. The inviting décor of the flagship boutique boasts opulent furniture, luxurious fabrics and plush carpets custom-designed from Europe. With state-of-the-art lighting and finishes in the shades of Mouawad’s iconic grey and gold, a welcoming and warm environment for all of Mouawad's distinguished guests and clients is created.

The new generation boutique at Palais Renaissance features an exclusive and comfortable private VIP room for customers to try on selected pieces from the wonderful jewellery and watch collections for which the company is renowned. The boutique sparkles with signature Haute Joaillerie statement pieces and boutique collections set with amazing diamonds and gemstones - all entirely designed and crafted by Mouawad. 

In addition to its jewellery and timepiece design production, Mouawad also cuts its own diamonds from rough as a Diamond Trading Company (DTC) Sightholder through its joint venture company, Premier Diamond Alliance. Diamonds and gemology have always been a passion at Mouawad. Over the years they have acquired some of the world’s largest and rarest diamonds and gemstones.

The family’s on-going support of the global industry through research and education led to third generation, Robert Mouawad, receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and having the main GIA campus in Carlsbad, California named in his honor.

Mouawad has been honored by the Guinness World Records four times with their most recent award for the Mouawad L’Incomparable Diamond Necklace - the most valuable necklace in the world to date ($55 million USD) - featuring the world’s largest internally flawless diamond, the Incomparable diamond (407.48 carats). The one-of-a-kind masterpiece was flown in exclusively for Singapore’s Jewel Festival last year.

Mouawad has collaborated with Victoria’s Secret over the years to create some of the most exquisite fantasy bras. Last year, Mouawad made headlines again with its latest installation named “The Royal Fantasy Bra” worn by Victoria’s Secret angel Candice Swanepoel. Valued at USD$10 million, the Royal Fantasy Bra and matching Belt features over 4,200 precious gems from around the world including rubies, diamonds, yellow and blue sapphires. Handcrafted and set in 18 karat gold, the bra is completed with a magnificent 52 carat, pear-shaped Burmese ruby at its center.

Since its inception 124 years ago, Mouawad has grown to become an international brand with operations across three continents, taking pride in counting royalty, celebrities and jewellery aficionados amongst their vast clientele. Mouawad continues to dazzle on the red carpet with recent A-list Celebrities like Uma Thurman, Zhang Ziyi and Amy Adams donning alluring statement pieces.
