Mouawad Diamonds on the Red Carpet

18 November 2019

When celebrities take to the red carpet for an event, no matter how bedazzling their star power is, they always want to make sure their outfit amps up their sparkle. That’s why so many famous names call on Mouawad to help them do just that. Over the years, there have been many memorable examples. Among them is Hollywood star Amy Adams at the 85th Academy Awards, the same year she was nominated for best supporting actress. Adams hit the red carpet wearing Mouawad 12.67 carat diamond and white gold earrings, a 68.30 carat diamond and platinum bracelet, and a 10.67 carat diamond and white gold ring – whose total value was over a million dollars. More recently, at the 90th Academy Awards, singer, songwriter, and actress Mary J. Blige stole the limelight wearing more than $2.2 million worth of Mouawad jewelry, namely the Pears of Splendor diamond earrings, coupled with the Oriana diamond and sapphire bracelet and ring. The pinnacle of annual awards for the music industry, the Grammys, is another glittering event where Mouawad jewelry often shares the spotlight with pop’s finest. At the 58th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, global megastar Celine Dion took to the stage wearing Mouawad’s The Augusta Marquise suite, featuring a profusion of white diamonds totaling 51.22 carat, set in 18-karat white gold. Europe’s most glamorous event, the annual Cannes Film Festival is yet another occasion for celebrities to rely on Mouawad to set the red carpet ablaze with brilliance. Iconic beauties Uma Thurman and Chinese superstar actress Zhang Ziyi both chose Mouawad jewelry for their 2013 red carpet appearances. Thurman wore more than 50-carat of Mouawad diamonds to complete her outfit of a simple black dress, ensuring that when photographers’ cameras flashed they captured her in all her brilliance.
