Graceland in Memphis Tennessee - November 7, 2020
Mouawad unveiled its Miss USA® and Miss Teen USA® Diamond Crowns by Mouawad at an exclusive reveal reception at Graceland, Memphis, Tennessee on November 7th, ahead of the annual Miss Teen USA® competition on Saturday November 7th and Miss USA® competition on Monday November 9th.
Before a limited audience of VIP guests, in line with Covid-19 restrictions, and in the presence of Paula M. Shugart, President of The Miss Universe Organization, Fourth generation Mouawad Co-guardian Pascal Mouawad unveiled the Mouawad Miss Teen USA® Power of Hope Crown and the Mouawad Miss USA® Power of Positivity Crown.
Each of the two crowns is a unique, bespoke work of extraordinary craftsmanship that carries with it a vital message enshrined in its title and design. For the Mouawad Miss Teen USA® Power of Hope Crown, the crown’s centrepieces, five blue tanzanite gemstones haloed by diamonds, shimmer with a brilliance that radiates hope, complemented by ruby and tanzanite. For the Mouawad Miss USA® Power of Positivity Crown, the crown’s centerpieces, five blue tanzanite gemstones haloed by diamonds, are complemented by ruby, blue sapphire and tanzanite and shimmer with an effervescence that evokes positivity, carrying the message that by uniting and sharing positivity we generate the momentum from which to build a better future.
Both crowns are inspired by the values of the Miss Universe Organization while evoking the flag of the United States through star motifs that symbolize the star quality within all women to create a brighter future. The selected gemstones also embody the colors of the flag while also reflecting the values associated with these colors: red for strength, white for the goodness within all of us, and blue for a just and equal society, with opportunities for all.
